Alacranes Reef Tour

The Yucatan coast has one of the most spectacular reefs in the Yucatan Peninsula.

We are referring to the Alacranes Reef National Park, located 100 kms north of Puerto Progreso in Yucatan.

The reef is made up of five islands, Perez Island (the main one), Dead Island, Bird Island, Small Island and Banished Island.

The only habited island is Perez Island, where you will find the lighthouse and a large house, where the lighthouse keeper and personnel of the Mexican Navy guard the place.

We offer a unique 2 day 1 night tour to visit the place where you can enjoy beautiful pristine beaches, reefs, fishing and crystal clear waters. We can also do same day round trips or 2 days and 3 nights.

We offer tours every day of the year except December 25 and January 1.

We depart from the port of Yucaltepen to sail 3 hours to reach the site. If you are up for adventure, this is the tour to choose, you can camp on the beach or sleep in a hammock at the lighthouse keeper’s house on the island.

You can have your lunch on the beach and enjoy the sun in perfect harmony with nature.

The boat we use for this tour is 38 feet with a maximum capacity of 10 people and 3 outboard engines of 350 horsepower each. And a 35 feet boat

The service includes captain, sailor, gasoline, fishing equipment, bait, ice and permits to visit the reef.

As for food and beverages these will be purchased by the client, we will send you a suggested list of things to buy according to the number of people and days you will be on the reef.

Clients must bring their hammocks with ropes to sleep in if they want to sleep in the lighthouse keeper’s house or bring tents to camp on the beach as well as their personal items.

A deposit is required for reservations and the balance is due days prior to departure.
